Tyra, a newly certified Bowenwork Associate Instructor, offered her first Intro to Bowenwork, Wellness in Your Hands 4 hour workshop. Attendees learned a series of moves to help family and friends in emergency situations and for general wellness.

Tyra facilitated Nancy Pierson’s Bowenwork Modules 1 & 2 with attendees from Dallas, Fort Worth and as far away Russia.

Tyra now provides Bowenwork in North Dallas! She is excited to join Girls to Women, a medical office that serves females 10 to 25 years of age. Tyra will be able work with all ages and genders. Her main focus will be Bowenwork, though Lymphatic Drainage Therapy and Energy work will also be offered.

Tyra opens a new office in North Oak Cliff. It is quiet and tranquil and has easy parking. The perfect place to receive a massage, Bowenwork, lymphatic drainage therapy, energy work or the other wellness services that Tyra provides. Call for an appointment and see her new space.

September 2012
Tyra facilitated a Bowenwork Modules 5 & 6 Workshop in her home. The Instructor, Nancy Pierson, came down from Arkansas. There were attendees from Oak Cliff, Richardson, Abilene, New Mexico, and Columbia. It was an intense class, but they found time to head to the Bishop Arts District for lunch every day and to Dude Sweet Chocolate several times. They will be back in January 2013 for Module 7 Testing and Assessment and on the way to certification as Professional Bowenwork Practitioners.

September 2012
Tyra attended the very first Bowenwork Associate Instructor Training in Las Vegas. She is now certified by the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia and the Bowenwork Academy USA to teach a four hour workshop called Bowenwork: An Introduction to Wellness in Your Hands. Anyone can attend the class and learn basic Bowenwork moves to help their family and friends.

September 2012
The City of Dallas informed Tyra and Laura that zoning restrictions now prevent massage and acupuncture services on N. Bishop Ave from Davis to Colorado. There were several weeks of providing additional information with the Planning and Zoning Department saying it could work out. The City finally said no and the Bishop Arts Wellness Center must close after more than eight years at that location. After 14 years in the Bishop Arts district Tyra must seek a new place to provide massage and bodywork services.
